Alysa has grown up dancing commercial dance since the age of 9. She competed in studio and in high school dance teams until she went to college to get her BFA in Commercial Dance in Los Angeles, where she trained in Hip Hop, Jazz, Jazz Funk, Contemporary, Lyrical, Tap, Ballroom, and Stunt Doubling. Mid-way through her program, she met Aubrey Ares and quickly became immersed in the Latin dance world. She became a Director of Empowered Movement Dance Company and went on to compete and win championships with them. As she continues to lead in EMDC, her aspirations are to continue to travel, teach, compete, and learn from others in the dance industry.
