Emelie Andagan is the founder and Artistic Director of Yemaya Dance Company. The Company was founded in October 2000 with a mission to serve the Sacramento community. Emelie’s dance training started at the young age of five dancing hula, Filipino folk dances, hiphop, modern, jazz and ballet. Before Yemaya Dance Company was formed, Emelie taught and trained with the Ballet Theater of Dover Dance Conservatory. She has utilized her experience and past training to create a unique style and technique in salsa dance.
